CDT and Local Assessments

PVAAS offers LEA/district, school, and student-level reporting based on local assessments. This includes but is not limited to Classroom Diagnostic Tools (CDTs), Acadience (DIBELS Next), aimsweb, DIBELS, EasyCBM, Exact Path, FastBridge, i-Ready, MAP, and STAR. Other local assessments that do not include value-added reporting can be found in the student's individual testing history in the Student Reports.

Additional information about how these measures are calculated can be found in the Statistical Models and Business Rules.

Submitting Data

PDE submits CDT assessment data on behalf of LEAs/districts. PVAAS receives additional local assessment data from LEAs/districts that opted to submit them through the Pennsylvania Information Management System (PIMS) C6 Local Assessment Analytics collection. The specific format is described in the PIMS Manual Volume 1, Student Local Assessment Subtest Template for Reporting and Analytics, and Volume 2, Appendix AR.

Testing Windows

CDT and local assessments are often administered each year at the beginning of year (BOY), middle of year (MOY), and end of year (EOY). To receive growth reporting using local assessment data, tests must be administered during the defined testing windows below as these are used to classify assessment scores and determine how these assessments are used in the analysis.

PVAAS will apply these defined assessment windows below.
