Manage Access
The table below provides an overview of account types, access options, and important notes about roles.
Account Type | Automatic Access | Additional Access Options | Misc |
---|---|---|---|
State Admin | No Access | ||
State User | No Access | ||
District Admin | Evaluator
| Before you can assign an Educator to a school, the Educator must be added in PVAAS if they are not included in the initial prepopulation. | |
District User | Evaluator
Administrative Evaluator
| If working only as an Evaluator, the user does not have a Manage Access option. Within PEERS, you can be an Evaluator and an Educator. The user has to toggle between Evaluator and Educator on their account page.
| |
School Admin |
| Within PEERS, you can be an Evaluator and an Educator. The user has to toggle between Evaluator and Educator on their account page.
| |
School User | Evaluator
| Within PEERS, you can be an Evaluator and an Educator. The user has to toggle between Evaluator and Educator on their account page.
|
Administrative Evaluator
district users who have the Administrative Evaluator permission can do almost everything you can do within PEERS including:
- View and modify evaluations for all Educators in the district/LEA
- Add and remove the Evaluator permission for district users
- Assign and unassign Educators for district users and schools
- Add and remove Educators
- Release evaluations
Administrative Evaluators may not create or remove other Administrative Evaluators. Only the district admin may perform those actions.
Evaluator
district users who have the Evaluator permission can:
- View and modify evaluations for the Educators assigned to them.
If an educator who should have access to PEERS does not see PEERS in the Reports menu, work with your District Administrator or Administrative Evaluator to resolve this. Click here for instructions.
