Assign an Educator to a district-level Evaluator
These steps start from the district users section of the Manage Access section of PEERS.
- Use the alphabetic tabs to find the district user. If you cannot find the district user, this is usually because you need to add the Evaluator permission to their account.
- Verify that the educator is not already assigned to the district user.
- Click Assign Educator in the row for that district user. The Assign Educator box opens.
- Use the alphabetic tabs to find the Educator.
- Click the check box next to the Educator and school year.
- Click Assign Educator.
If you don't see the educator in the Assign Educator box, follow these steps:
- Click the educator I'm looking for is not in any of these lists.
- Click Add Educator. The Add Educator window opens.
- Enter information about the educator and click Search. PVAAS looks for a matching Educator already in PEERS.
- If PVAAS finds one or more educators that might be the one you are looking for, they are displayed under the heading Matches. If there are no matches, skip to step 5. If there are matches, you will see one of these three things:
- More information means the Educator is already in PEERS and is in your district. Return to the Assign Educator box to assign the Educator to the Evaluator.
- Add record and add to my district means the Educator is in PEERS but has no record for this school year. Click the link to add a record for the Educator and add the Educator to your district.
- Add to my district means the Educator is in PEERS but is in another district. Click the link to add the Educator to your district for the school year.
- If PVAAS doesn't find the Educator, this means the Educator must be added to PEERS.
- Under the heading Don't See the Educator, click the link in the Action column.
- Follow the on-screen guidance to add the Educator to PEERS in your district for the current school year. Adding the Educator to PEERS does not enable the Educator to access PVAAS.
- When you are returned to the district users section of the Manage Access window, click Assign Educator in the row for the district user. The Assign Educator box opens.
- Use the alphabetic tabs to find the Educator you just added to PEERS.
- Click the check box next to the educator and school year.
- Click Assign Educator.
After adding an educator to PEERS, an administrative user might want to link a PVAAS account to the educator or assign the educator to a school.
